NOTE: I DO NOT ENDORSE! I simply make RECOMMENDATIONS, looking for the BEST or sometimes the BETTER of the CANDIDATES of those available. Sometimes, I even RECOMMEND with RELUCTANCE, knowing SOMEONE is going to win, and one candidate’s political philosophy might tilt slightly better than another. If I’m not able to determine ANY positive tilt or have inadequate info, I may just state, “NONE”.
FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT
US PRESIDENT:“OUR Country, OUR People, and OUR Laws, have to be OUR Top Priority” - DONALD TRUMP
Recommendation: DONALD J TRUMP
COMMENTS: I’m recommending DONALD TRUMP, NOT because he is “PRESIDENT PERFECT”! Like you and me, he is NOT! He is a FLAWED man. I sometimes even “cringe” in his choice of words. He’s an outspoken NEW YORKER! But HE IS A LEADER, both domestically and on the World Stage. I’ve come to learn, I’m far less bothered by “HOW” he communicates, because of “WHAT HE ACCOMPLISHES”, like, in his yrs as PRESIDENT (all while under huge pressure of FALSE ACCUSATIONS flying left and right constantly during his WH yrs.) He ACCOMPLISHED MUCH and KEPT AMERICA OUT OF WAR. Would you prefer a candidate that “brought JOY”, but was “clueless” on important matter like WORLD ISSUES, the ECONOMY, and the BORDER, and or a guy that gets the job done? He’s a businessman that serves because he LOVES AMERICA. He doesn’t NEED the job!
Do I like that he has had some past philandering? Of course, not. But it is in the PAST, and well prior to his 2016 Presidency win. Many reliable sources close to him, say he has had a “Spiritual Awakening”, at least, and even become a Christian, at best. Plus much of what was said of him is unproven rumors. The liberal left will use ANYTHING in their arsenal, to take him down. The TRUTH isn’t important to LIBERALS like the “Russian Collusion” which was proven to be FALSE, as long as they can eliminate him, however possible..
Contrast KAMALA HARRIS, who would make a very poor U.S. World LEADER. She is inept at thinking & speaking “on her feet” without notes or a teleprompter. And she comes to her candidacy, “ANNOINTED”, unvetted, WITHOUT EARNING A SINGLE VOTE. She is a Progressive, Far-Left, Neo-Marxist Socialist, candidate proven, in her own recorded words. She has flip-flopped on so many issues, it is hard to know or believe what is her current position on issues. She is petrified and REFUSES TO DO INTERVIEWS and the few she has done, has left the public, asking themselves, “Huh? What did she say?” She speaks in platitudes, rather than facts & truths. How do you think she would fare w/China’s Xi Jinping, or Russia’s Putin?
HARRIS dangles “GIMMICKS”, like giving $25K to 1st time home buyers (who is going to pay for that? Us, taxpayers, of course!), and pushing “PRICE CONTROLS”, which have NEVER WORKED (ex, Venezuela, Argentina, and look what happened when Pres Jimmy Carter tried?). This always results in shortages, quality reductions, and business production shrinkage, and can actually cause price increases.
(See end of TRUMP comments for 17 more REASONS NOT TO SUPPORT KAMALA HARRIS.)
TRUMP ON ECONOMY:

17 REASONS NOT TO SUPPORT FAR-LEFT KAMALA HARRIS:
Co-sponsored legislation to protect illegal migrants from deportation
Backed Bernie Sanders’ Medicare for All
Backed banning private health insurance
Supported giving taxpayer-funded coverage to illegal immigrants
Supported banning fracking
Backed defunding the police
Compared ICE to the KKK
Wanted to ban plastic straws
Defended banning offshore drilling
Wanted to “undo” the Trump administration’s border security, taking 94 executive actions in their first 100 days to rescind Trump-era measure
Supported decriminalizing illegal border crossings
Said she wouldn’t “treat” illegal aliens as “criminals”
Called for “starting [ICE] from scratch”
Argued that temporarily closing the border violated federal law
Raised money for the Minnesota Freedom Fund (BLM) a far-left organization that paid to bail out of jail violent criminals, including accused murderers and rapists
Supported Los Angeles’s cuts to their police department
Called efforts to add more police to the streets “wrongheaded thinking”
US SENATOR (Full Term):
(NOTE: There are TWO U.S. SENATE races on Ballot, but BOTH are for the SAME SEAT, that is, to succeed DEM Senator Diane Feinstein, who passed away Sept 2023. One is to FINISH her term. And the other is for a full 6-year term (to begin Jan 2025).
Recommendation: STEVE GARVEY (R)
Comments: GARVEY, the well-known former ML Dodger Baseball 1st-Baseman in 70’s and 80’s, is a Republican and is the best chance to have an “R” CA Senator in many elections. Is he a Conservative? Probably NOT, but more a “Moderate”, but does stand w/ Conservatives w/ support for Securing Our Borders, a Strong National Security/”Peace through Strength”, support for Law Enforcement against Crime & Lawlessness, Support for Israel, and support for CA’s Farmers and Agriculture. I suspect he is more Conservative though than he lets us know.
Garvey’s “squeaky-clean image was shattered in 80’s when he divorced, had multiple affairs, and impregnated several women. He describes that time as a “mid-life disaster”. He eventually remarried in ‘89 to wife #2, and has been stable for the last 30 yrs. I tell you these past negatives, because they quite likely could come out in the campaign. HOWEVER, GARVEY would be “light years” better than his opponent, liberal DEM and verified liar, ADAM “Shifty” SCHIFF.
US Senator (Partial/Unexpired):
Recommendation: STEVE GARVEY (R)
(NOTE: There are TWO U.S. SENATE races on Ballot, but BOTH are for the SAME SEAT, that is, to succeed DEM Senator Diane Feinstein, who passed away Sept 2023. One is to FINISH her term. And the other is for a full 6-year term (to begin Jan 2025).
US Rep 38th Dist
(Part of this district is in OC, w/majority in LA COUNTY)
Recommendation: ERIC J. CHING (R)
Comments: ERIC CHING is a Conservative Patriot, former mayor and current City Councilmember of the City of Walnut and would be a great candidate to take this seat from long-time, entrenched liberal DEM, LINDA SANCHEZ (gag!). Ching is endorsed by the OC GOP, REP PARTY, by Craig Huey’s Election Forum, and conservative CA Republican Assembly.
https://www.ericchingforcongress.com/
US Rep 40th Dist
Recommendation: YOUNG KIM (R)
Comments: I’m NOT a big fan of Young Kim, as she is not a strong Conservative, and I have not always agreed with ALL her votes. HOWEVER, she is FAR BETTER than her DEMOCRAT opponent, Joe Kerr
US Rep 45th Dist
Recommendation: MICHELLE STEEL (R)
Comments: STEEL is endorsed by the OC GOP and has consistently voted Conservatively in the U.S. Congress. She is endorsed by the CA Republican Party, Conservative Craig Huey of ELECTION FORUM, and Carl DeMaio’s REFORM CALFORNIA. She recently got endorsed by the Orange Co Register Newspaper, too. I don’t always agree w/the newspaper, but they got this one right. The article cited her years of experience and her capability. They criticized how incapable her Liberal Democratic opponent, Derek Tran was, in comparison. “TRAN just isn’t ready to be a member of Congress!”
US Rep 46th Dist
(covers Santa Ana, Stanton, Anaheim, Orange, Fullerton)
Recommendation: DAVID PAN (R)
Comments: DAVID PAN is running against entrenched DEMOCRAT, LOU CORREA. Is he a Conservative? No, and is a newly registered REPUBLICAN. He is running because he is so disappointed in the DEMOCRAT PARTY, especially in the areas of his main concerns: Education (supports School Choice for all parents), Lawlessness (“rising crime is endangering families and neighborhoods”), and the Economy (runaway Government spending is causing Inflation). Why vote for him? He is better than the alternative, liberal DEM, Lou Correa, and PAN appears to be a FISCAL Conservative.
He is the son of Taiwanese immigrants. He’s very bright, w/ degrees from Stanford and Columbia Universities and is a professor at UC Irvine, so hopefully he will eventually see the wisdom of becoming a CONSERVATIVE.
NOTE: Please do not vote for LOU CORREA, who is endorsed by Liberal Democrat Party of OC, and the evil PLANNED PARENTHOOD.
US Rep 47th Dist
Recommendation: SCOTT BAUGH (R)
Comments: SCOTT BAUGH ran for this same seat in Nov 2022, and NARROWLY lost to incumbent, liberal, socialist DEM, Katie Porter. But Porter vacated the seat to run for U.S. Senate from CA (and LOST to Adam Schiff), opening up this seat for BAUGH. In the Primary, BAUGH was the highest vote-getter with 32% of vote. His opponent is liberal Dem State Senator, Dave Min, who came in 2nd in primary at 26%.
I have vetted and recommended BAUGH in past elections. He served in the CA Assembly from 1995 to 2000 and is a former OC Republican Party Chairman. He supports Conservative values, like limited government, lower taxes, secure border, debt reduction, and is a strict constitutionalist. He’s a graduate of Liberty University and has a law degree from University of the Pacific. His endorsements include, CA GOP, OC GOP, Lincoln Club, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc, Reform CA, U.S Senator Ted Cruz, OC Sheriff Don Barnes, Craig Huey’s Election Forum, Former CA Sen John Moorlach, and many more.
US Rep 49th Dist:
Recommendation: MATT GUNDERSON (R)
Comments: Gunderson was not my Primary pick, as he is moderate on some social issues, but he is a fiscal Conservative. However, he is “light years” better than incumbent opponent, LEVIN.
NOTE: Please do not vote for Liberal DEM Incumbent, Mike Levin, who is endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC and the evil PLANNED PARENTHOOD.
CA STATE
GOVERNMENT
ca sENATE
CA STATE SENATE - 37th Dist:
Recommendation: STEVEN CHOI (R)
Comments: This seat is currently filled by Liberal DEM, Josh Newman, who narrowly won 2 yrs ago, and who has consistently supported GOV NEWSOM’S Liberal/Progressive agenda, including the horrible GAS TAX. This seat IS FLIPPABLE, so let’s do just that! CHOI has been involved in OC politics for over 25 yrs, and has always been a solid CONSERVATIVE vote. Endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc, and many more.
NOTE : Please do not vote for DEM opponent, Josh Newman, who is endorsed by PLANNED PARENTHOOD, Dem Party, and a slew of LIBERAL-LEFT elected officials.
ca aSSEMBLY
CA STATE ASSEMBLY - 59th Dist
(Covers portions of Orange and San Bernardino counties and includes all or parts of the cities of Anaheim Hills, Brea, Chino, Chino Hills, Fullerton, North Tustin, Orange, Placentia, Villa Park, and Yorba Linda.
Recommendation: PHILLIP CHEN (R)
Comments: Endorsed by OC Republican Party (OC GOP). An incumbent doing as good as could be expected, being the minority party, with a DEM majority Trifecta in all 3 CA branches of Gov (Executive Offices, CA Senate, and CA Assembly). Pathetic! Endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc, and many more.
CA STATE ASSEMBLY - 64th Dist:
Recommendation: RAUL ORTIZ JR (R)
Comments: ORTIZ describes himself as a “Christian Constitutionalist Republican”. He serves on the Board of the conservative CA Republican Assembly and is endorsed by them. He attends MY church, Calvary Chapel, Chino Hills, but we have never met. Ortiz ran against this same candidate in Nov 2022, garnering nearly 40% of vote, nearly winning the OC vote, but much of this district is in LA Co. He is banking on voters’ disenchantment with DEMS to carry him this time. He is also OC & CA GOP-endorsed. People of 64th, VOTE ORTIZ!
https://www.raulortizforassembly.com/
CA STATE ASSEMBLY - 67th Dist
(covers Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton West, La Palma)
Recommendation: ELIZABETH “BETH” CULVER (R)
Comments: Republican CULVER is a solid Conservative, and endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party) and MAKE OC GREAT AGAIN.
(NOTE: DEM opponent, Sharon Quirk-Silva, is endorsed by, PLANNED PARENTHOOD, Dem Party, and many LIBERAL elected officials.)
CA STATE ASSEMBLY - 68th Dist
(covers Anaheim, Orange, and Santa Ana)
Recommendation: MIKE TARDIF (R)
Comments: Small businessman for over 30 yrs, who believes the DEM Super-majority is way off-track for CA. They are! He is endorsed by the OC and CA GOP, the Chairman of the OC GOP, Fred Whitaker, and many others. His opponent is 1st term DEM incumbent, AVELINO VALENCIA, who Tardif ran against in Nov 2022. VALENCIA is endorsed by PLANNED PARENTHOOD. Let’s flip this seat!
(NOTE: DEM opponent, Avelino Valencia, is endorsed by PLANNED PARENTHOOD, Dem Party, and a slew of LIBERAL elected officials.)
CA STATE ASSEMBLY - 70th Dist
(covers Los Alamitos, Stanton, Westminster, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, parts of Santa Ana)
Recommendation: TRI TA (R)
Comments: Incumbent TRI TA won this seat in Nov 2022, after having served as mayor of Westminster. An immigrant from Vietnam, he is endorsed by the OC GOP, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc, and many others Republican office holders.
CA STATE ASSEMBLY - 71st Dist
(covers Rancho Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch, unincorporated areas of Las Flores, Coto De Caza, Trabuco Canyon, Dove Canyon). THIS IS MY DISTRICT.
Recommendation: “KATE” KATHRYN SANCHEZ (R)
Comments: A solid Conservative Republican incumbent, who has done a good job in our DEM-Led TRIFECTA CA Government and deserves to be re-elected. She is endorsed by OC GOP (Republican Party), conservative CA Republican Assembly, Carl De Maio’s REFORM CALIFORNIA, Conservative Craig Huey’s Election Forum, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc,, and lots of Conservative Republican Elected Officials.
CA STATE ASSEMBLY - 72nd Dist
Recommendation: DIANE DIXON (R)
Comments: Endorsed by the OC GOP (Rep Party) and the conservative CA Republican Assembly, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc. Additionally, endorsed by tons of known conservative in OC.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for DEM opponent, Dom Jones, who is endorsed by PLANNED PARENTHOOD, Dem Party, and a slew of LIBERAL elected officials.
CA STATE ASSEMBLY - Dist 73rd
(covers Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest)
Recommendation: SCOTTY PEOTTER (R)
Comments: His motto: “SCOTTY NOT COTTIE”! SCOTT PEOTTER is a Solid CONSERVATIVE in every area and adheres to all of the values as stated in my CONSERVATIVE CRITERIA. He will make an “EXCELLENT” ASSEMBLYMAN for Dist 73. He is endorsed by the conservative CA Republican Assembly, Make Orange County Great Again, CA ProLife, Reform OC Pac, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc, and CRAIG HUEY’S Christian, Conservative Vote site, www. ELECTION FORUM.org/orange-county/.
This seat needs to be flipped RED again, from DEM, liberal/progressive COTTIE PETRIE-NORRIS, who DOES NOT even live in the Dist 73, but lives in Laguna Beach. She is endorsed by PLANNED PARENTHOOD, Dem Party, and all LIBERAL elected officials.
CA STATE ASSEMBLY - Dist 74th
(covers Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, San Clemente)
Recommendation: LAURIE DAVIES (R)
Comments: Conservative incumbent, LAURIE DAVIES has done a good job and deserves to be re-elected. Endorsed by the OC GOP, Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Assoc, and many conservative Republican groups.
NOTE: Please do not vote for DEM opponent, CHRIS DUNCAN, who is endorsed by PLANNED PARENTHOOD, Dem Party, and lots of LIBERAL officials.
Oc (COUNTY)
GOVERNMENT:
OC SUPERVISOR - 1st Dist
(covers Cypress, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, La Palma, Seal Beach, and Westminster)
Recommendation: JANET NGUYEN (R)
Comments: The OC Register doesn’t ALWAYS get it right, but they did on this one by endorsing JANET NGUYEN, w/ the comment, “Elect JANET NGUYEN to OC Board of Supervisors [Dist 1]: Given the options, it’s just NOT a difficult decision to make.” NGUYEN is endorsed by the OC GOP (OC Republican Party), the Conservative CA Republican Assembly. NGUYEN was highest vote-getter in primary, but BC she did not win w/over 50%, she was forced into this Nov runoff.
Please do NOT vote for Liberal, FRANCES MARQUEZ. He is a Democrat and endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC.
OC city
councils
ALISO VIEJO CC
Recommendation:
Dist 1:TIM ZANDBERGEN (R)
Comments: ZANDBERGEN is a Republican Small Business Owner, and 21 yr resident of AV. He supports: Low Taxes, Sound Fiscal Policies, Elimination of Unnecessary Regulatory Burden, Protection of Private Property Rights, Safe Neighborhoods, and Common Sense Real Estate Development in AV.
NOTE: Please do not vote for ZANDBERGEN’S opponent, JENNIFER ENGLE, who is endorsed by the liberal Democrat Party of OC, and ultra-liberal Planned Parenthood
Dist 5: MIKE MUNZING (R)
Comments: MIKE MUNZING is a solid Conservative in every way, fiscal and social. He is a current incumbent MAYOR of AV, and has done a great job and deserves to be re-elected. He is endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC).
NOTE: Please do not vote for MUNZING’S opponent, ROSS CHUN, who is endorsed by the liberal Democrat Party of OC, and ultra-liberal Planned Parenthood.
ANAHEIM CC
Recommendation:
Dist 1: RYAN BALIUS
Comments: There are NO Conservatives, NOR even Republican candidates in ANY CC races. RYAN BALIUS is a DTS (Declined-to-State) party preference, and all research show him to be the best of the 2 for this district. He is a very involved candidate, currently serving as Chair of the Anaheim Parks and Recreation Commission.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for his opponent OJAALA AHMAD, who is a liberal Democrat and local spokesperson for far-left organization, CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) which is an Anti-Semitic advocacy group to promote social, legal and political activities among Muslims in America.
Dist 4: NORMA CAMPOS KURTZ
Comments: Is not a strong recommendation. She is the better of the 2 Democrats in race.
Dist 5: ANDREW SAREGA (R)
Comments: SAREGA was formerly in Law Enforcement, then became an attorney. He is definitely the best of the 3 candidates, and previously served as mayor and city councilmembers prior to moving to Anaheim, so has some municipal governing experience which likely will be helpful.
Note: Please DON’T VOTE for either KRISTEN MAAHS or CRISTAL RUIZ.
BREA
Recommendations
CITY COUNCIL
1. BILL KLOVSTAD (R)
Comments: My research indicate Republican Klovstad is a Brea small businessman who is a fiscal and social conservative, highly qualified and very involved in Brea city government, and would make a good councilmember.
2. THOMAS DONINI (R)
Comments: Republican 25 yr Brea resident, Donini has served in a variety of capacities in the city, such as City Planning Commissioner an Chairman of Culture Arts Commission. Professionally, he’s been University President, College Professor and VP of a publicly traded corporation. He also has military service in US Army/CA National Guard
NOTE: Please do not vote for Incumbents, MARTY SIMONOFF or CHRISTINE MARICK. While Simonoff is an R, he has been on the City Council for 28 YEARS. ENOUGH ALREADY! And Marick is NOT a Republican, but a DTS (Declined to State), and has been on CC for 12 yrs. Brea needs “NEW CONSERVATIVE BLOOD”.
CITY TREASURER-DENISE EBY (R)
Comments: Incumbent reportedly doing a good job, and is who I vetted and recommended 4 yrs ago .
BUENA PARK CC
Recommendation:
Dist 2: YONG CHOI (R)
INFO ONLY: Not great choices here! YONG CHOI (R) is a registered Republican, but WOK in his political philosophy, not conservative, but into “climate” and “equity”. This info gleaned from published REGISTER Newspaper candidate questionnaire of Oct 4, 2024. But maybe is better than opponent.
Perhaps worse, though, is Choi’s opponent, CARLOS FRANCO. He is registered as a DTS (Declined-to-State), but he is endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC, Hubert Humphrey Democratic Club, Young Democrats of OC, and CA, and 2 other Democrat organizations, plus a bunch of Union Organizations, like OC Labor Federation (AFL-CIO), Iron Workers Union, etc.
Dist 3: JOHN DADE (R)
Comments: Republican JOHN DADE is endorsed by the Republican Party of OC, and the following conservatives: Supervisor Don Wagner, former CA Senator , John Moorlach, Congresswoman, Michelle Steel, HB Mayor, Gracey Van Der Mark, and FV City Councilman, Jim Cunneen, to name a few.
Dist 4: NONE
COSTA MESA CC
Recommendation:
Mayor: JAMES PETERS
Comments: PETERS is a long time resident with 30 yrs in CM as a small business owner (a licensed financial planner). He is the Faith, Freedom and Family candidate. As Mayor, his main focus will be on the city’s crime, homelessness, controlling the high concentration of Pot shops and overdevelopment. His endorsement are: OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), Lincoln Club of OC, and Conservative Republicans, former CA Senator, John Moorlach (my favorite), former CM Mayor, Steve Mensinger, CM Planning Commissioner, John Zich, former mayor, Jim Righeimer, former CMCC Wendy Leece, , and many more.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for JOHN STEPHENS, who is endorsed by 2 Liberal organizations, DEMOCRAT PARTY of OC and PLANNED PARENTHOOD, and by a whole slew of liberal OC politicians.
Dist 1: MIKE BULEY (R)
Comments: An Attorney and Businessman, BULEY is endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), Lincoln Club of OC, and Conservative Republicans, Don Harper, CC of Costa Mesa, John Moorlach, former CA Senator, Scott Baugh, Candidate for US Congress, Steve Mensinger, former CM Mayor, John Zich, CM Planning Commissioner, Jim Righeimer, former mayor, Wendy Leece, former CMCC, and many more.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for ADAM ERETH, who is endorsed by Liberal organizations, DEMOCRAT PARTY of OC and PLANNED PARENTHOOD, and by a whole slew of liberal OC politicians.
Dist 2: NONE
Comments: Unfortunately, Democrat candidate, who is Planned Parenthood endorsed, LOREN GAMEROS, is running unopposed
Dist 6 (Eastside): JEFF PETTIS
Comments: Pettis’ day job is Deputy Chief Nurse of Mental Health at Long Beach VA Med Ctr. He has BA in Political Science, RN and Masters in Nursing, and is a local boy, grad from Corona Del Mar HS. He is endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), Lincoln Club of OC, OC Gun Owners, and conservative Republicans, Don Harper, CC of Costa Mesa, John Moorlach, former CA Senator, Will O’Neill, Mayor of NB, Scott Baugh, Candidate for US Congress, Steve Mensinger, former CM Mayor, and many more.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for JEFFREY HARLAN, who is endorsed by 2 Liberal organizations, DEMOCRAT PARTY of OC and PLANNED PARENTHOOD, and by a whole slew of liberal politicians of OC.
CYPRESS CC
Recommendation:
Dist 3: Mark Plager (R)
Comments: Small business owner and 26 yr resident of Cypress, he is endorsed by the Republican Party of OC (OC GOP) and only “R” in 3-person race. Priorities: Public safety. maintain infrastructure, advocate for strong schools and support a business-friendly environment.
NOTE: Please do not vote for KYLE CHANG. He is endorsed by the Liberal Democrat Party of Orange Co.
Dist 4: Glenn Button (R)
Comments: Aerospace engineer, business owner and 29 yr Cypress resident, BUTTON is endorsed by the Republican Party of OC (OC GOP) and only “R” in 3-person race, CA Republican Assembly, Lincoln Club of OC, Cypress Mayor Scott Minikus, Mayor Pro Tem, Bonnie Peat, OC Sup of Schools Dr. Stefan Bean, OC School Board Pres Mari Barke, and many more.
NOTE: Please do not vote for BLAZE BHENCE. He is endorsed by the Liberal Democrat Party of Orange Co.
DANA POINTCC
RECOMMENDATIONS:NONE
Comments: Incumbent, MIKE FROST (Dist 4) is a registered Libertarian and Incumbent, MICHAEL VILLAR (Dist 5), who is a registerd D. Both are unopposed.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY CC (up to 2)
Recommendation:
1. TED BUI (R)
Comments: Incumbent FV businessman that deserves to be re-elected. Solid Conservative. Endorsed by OC Republican Party (OCGOP), Conservative fellow councilmember, Jim Cunneen and many more.
Note: Please DO NOT VOTE for Democrat Party endorsed, GLENN GRANDIS or RUBY HUEBNER.
2. KATY V. WRIGHT (R)
Comments: This is not a strong recommendation, but better of options available. She is a registered Republican, likely not a conservative, but she would be independent. KATY WRIGHT is an interesting figure who appears regularly at FV City Council meetings commenting on what she sees as needing improvement or attention, and encourages fellow FV Citizens to attend and be involved, too. She is running because she could not find 2 out of the 3, on ballot that she liked, so decided to run herself. Her campaign is self-funded.
Note: Please DO NOT VOTE for Democrat Party endorsed, GLENN GRANDIS or RUBY HUEBNER.
FULLERTON CC
Recommendation:
Dist 1: FRED JUNG (D)
Comments: “Sensible” Democrat Incumbent that votes moderately. Better of 2.
NOTE: Please do not vote for opponent, MATTHEW "MATT" TRUXAW. He has been a life-long Democrat, that recently “resurrected” himself and re-registered as an “R”. Don’t be swayed. My research indicate he is liberal left.
Area 2: NICK DUNLAP (R)
Comments: Incumbent and current Mayor, endorsed by the Republican Party of OC (OC GOP), Fullerton Police Officers Assoc, Fullerton Assoc of Concerned Taxpayers, OC Tapayers Assoc, and OC Sheriff Don Barnes.
Area 4: LINDA WHITAKER(R)
Comments: LINDA WHITAKER is a known Conservative in Fullerton and is the ONLY R this 4-person race. The other 3 are DEMOCRATS. Linda is the wife of past Conservative, City Councilman, BRUCE WHITAKER.
Please DO NOT VOTE for far-left candidate, VIVIAN “Kittty” JARAMILLO, who is endorsed by the Liberal Democratic Party of OC and the evi, PLANNED PARENTHOOD.
Also, DON’T VOTE for Democrat, SCOTT MARKOWITZ. His Ballot Statement is misleading, using conservative terms to describe himself, like: “We need America First Patriots”, and “a city that fights for individual liberties”, and “Vote for me. . . . with real conservative values”. HE IS NOT CONSERVATIVE, according to my research. (Update, 10-22-24: MARKOWITZ has had to “SUSPEND” his campaign for falsifying his nominations paperwork, so he is out of the race.)
GARDEN GROVE CC
Recommendations:
MAYOR: STEPHANIE KLOPFENSTEIN (R)
Comments: Life long resident of GG. Conservative Republican currently serving on the GG City Council. Endorsed by current Mayor Steve Jones and GG Police Association.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for Liberal Democrat, DIEDRE THU-HA NGUYEN. She is endorsed by the Liberal Planned Parenthood, and the Who’s Who of LIBERAL OC Politicians, for example, Katrina Foley, OC Board of Supervisor (5th Dist) and Farrah Khan, Irvine City Mayor
Dist 2: JOHN RAMIREZ (R)
Comments: Republican RAMIREZ is a 24 yr resident of the city and currently serves on the GG Planning Commission for last 5 yrs. Has UC Irvine graduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning and has served 25 yrs in City Government, so good background experience.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for Democrat, PHILLIP NGUYEN, who is endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC and if far-left Liberal.
Dist 5: SANDRA THOMAS (R)
Comments: Conservative with good fiscal knowledge. Former Bank Mgr NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for Democrat, YESENIA MUNETON, who is endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC.
Dist 6: TRI LAM (R)
Comments: Best of the 2. Republican LAM is former ARMY military for 8yrs, serving 1 yr in Iraq. Is a Biomedical Engineer, and works at St Joseph’s Hosp.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for Democrat, ARIANA ARESTEGUI, who Ballot Title is “Campaign Finance Director”. For whom? I haven’t found out yet. But she is endorsed by many Liberals in the Democrat Party inOC, including CA Young Democrats.
HUNTINGTON BEACH CC
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for Rhonda Bolton, Dan Kalmick, Natalie Moser or Regina Blankenhorn (City Clerk). All 4 are endorsed by the Liberal Democratic Party of OC, and the 3 for CC are also endorsed by Planned Parenthood.

LAGUNA BEACH CC(vote up to 2)
Recommendations:
Comments: This city is incredibly difficult to find recommendations, as there are rarely any REPUBLICANS running, let alone CONSERVATIVES.
NOTE ONLY: A Laguna Beach Republican Conservative advisor said the following: She’s voting for [DEM] Incumbent, 1. BOB WHALEN, whose track record is known [and OK], and 2. [DEM] HALLIE JONES, as the 2 BETTER of the not-so-good choices. She added, she definitely would NOT consider DEM incumbent, GEORGE WEISS (“he’s a whacko and definitely NOT CONSERVATIVE”), nor would she consider, another ultra-lefty, JUDY MANCUSO.

LAGUNA WOODS CC (Vote up to 3)
Recommendations: NONE
Comments: Of the 4 Candidates running for LWCC, none meet my “PICKS” Conservative criteria. In fact NONE are even REPUBLICANS. All are Democrats. (May I put a “fire” under the leadership of the LW Republican Club to find Conservatives to run next time?).
But 3 of the 4 are going to win. If I lived in Laguna Woods, I would probably vote for 2 “New Blood” candidates, retired business owner, EU JU “PEARL” LEE (D), and JAMES PING YA TUNG (D), a geophysicist, and Incumbent SHARI HORNE (D) and EXCLUDE the 4th candidate, CYNTHIA CONNORS, bc this would be her 5th term on the Council. 20yrs is ENOUGH ALREADY!
LA HABRA CC
Recommendation:
1.SUSAN PRITCHARD (R)

LOS ALAMITOS CC
Recommendation:
Dist 1:WENDY GROSE (R)
Comments: Republican and solid Conservative, WENDY GROSE is a 30yr resident of this district and knows it well. She is a Nurse Practitioner in family practice, and is on the board of Precious Life Shelter, and volunteers in many other organizations. She serves on the Planning Commission for the City of Los Alamitos and her husband, Dean Grose served many yrs on the city council, too. Concerns: “Just like you, I too, am concerned about the condition of our streets, the speed of cars in residential areas, pot holes with temporary fixes, parental rights, catalytic converter theft, increased homelessness, along with many other issues”. I believe Wendy to be the best Conservative Republican in this race.
Dist 2: TRISH MURPHY (R)
Comments: Endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC) and is the only Republican in this race.
MISSION VIEJO CC
Note: Mission Viejo does not have any seats up in the election.
NEWPORT BEACH CC
Recommendation:

Comments: Small business owner, parent and NM School Bd trustee, BARTO is endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), OC Sheriff, Don Barnes, NB Mayor Will O’Neill, Congressional Candidate Scott Baugh, Mari Barke OC Bd of Education, former Mayor Kevin Muldoon and many other known Conservatives. Dist 5:NONE
Comments: Incumbent, ANA GUTIERREZ (Declined-To-State party) is running unopposed.
CITY CLERK: NONE
Comments: Unopposed Incumbent
CITY TREASURER: GARRETT SMITH
Comments: This is not a strong recommendation. Better of 2. SMITH appears to have a better background in Finance to do this job. Endorsed by Mayor Dan Slater, Orange City Council members, KATHY TAVOULARIS and Ana Gutierrez.
NOTE: Please do not vote for Democrat, EUGENE FIELDS, who in spite for being on oversite committees reviewing finances, he is more of a PR person than a numbers person. Previously, he’s been a reporter for the REGISTER newspaper, and has run several runs, as a Democrat, for City Council.
PLACENTIA CC
Recommendation:
Dist 1: THOMAS HUMMER (R)
Comments: Republican Hummer is an educator and has deep roots in Placentia. He is the best of the 2 candidates, with other being JOSHUA CORREA, a free-spirited pastor and artist registered as a “Declined-to-State” party.
Dist 3: JEREMY YAMAGUCHI (R)
Comments: Current Republican Mayor and Businessman, YAMAGUCHI was first elected to the CC in 2008, at age 19, and reportedly doing a good job.

Recommendations:
MAYOR:TONY BEALL (MAYOR)Dist 3 City Council
Comments: Conservatize Beall is endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), and my research show he is doing a good job.
Dist 3 City Council: NO RECOMMENDATION
Comments: (Updated as of 10-22-24) On Oct 20, my previous recommendation of CAROL GAMBLE, incumbent has been removed because GAMBLE, “SUSPENDED” her campaign due to the inaccurate filing of her nomination papers. I do not have adequate time to properly vet her opponent, KERI LYNN BAERT, for possible replacement at this late date.
SAN CLEMENTE CC
Recommendation:
Dist 3: RICK LOEFFLER (DTS)
Comments: As of 10-7, I am changing my recommendation to RICK LOEFFLER for best chance to keep this board conservative. I previously recommended conservative, LOIS MCNICOLL, but she is running a minimal campaign and unlikely to win. There is concern the vote could be split w/4 in race, allowing far-left Democrat ANGELA WATTS to take advantage. To prohibit, I’m recommending RICK LOEFFLER, who has voted with conservatives on council the majority of the time his previous term.
NOTE: DO NOT VOTE for far-left, Democrat ANGELA WATTS, who is endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC and Planned Parenthood.
Dist 4: ZHEN WU (R)
Comments: WU is a business owner and architect, a Republican who leans Libertarian in views. He’s endorsed by Republican Party of OC (OC GOP), and the Young Republicans. He is a fiscal conservative, and supports most all the Conservative social issues, like Parental Notification in schools, and opposes transgendering. However, he supports a “woman’s’ choice” up to fetus viability. He was born & educated in China and immigrated here in 1999 at 27, due to opposition to authoritarian regime. He did graduate school at USC.
NOTE: Please do not vote for Democrat, SARAH SCHNEIDER, who in June, switched to “Declined-to-State” party, apparently to appeal more to the Republican-dominated electorate, but the Dem party is privately supporting her.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CC
Recommendation: Sergio Farias (D)
Comments: Yes, I am recommending a Democrat here, and I haven’t lost my mind. My research indicate, including talking to active Conservative residents, and another Conservative CC member, that current Mayor SERGIO FARIAS is a “reasonable” Democrat who has worked well and voted “reasonably” and conservatively, during his time on the City Council. This would be his 3rd term. He stated to me that during his time on the board he has moved right politically from an initial very liberal way of thinking 8 yrs ago, becoming more open-minded, desiring to do what is best for the city, and not following a particular political agenda. He said he has enjoyed working with all the council members. I see that many “R” CC members have given FARIAS their endorsements, too. BC he does not agree with all on the Democrat agenda, he stated, he did not to seek the endorsement of the Democratic Party of OC.
While Farias’s opponent, small business owner, Jesse Nelson, is a registered Republican, he is marginally known in the city, and has not been active in the city. Both candidates OPPOSE the building of the toxic battery farm per their ballot statements. It is disappointing that Saddleback Church would consider selling or leasing the property for that purpose.

SANTA ANA CC
Recommendations:
Mayor: VALERIE AMEZCUA (D)
Comments: (Just added 10-21) By far, the better of the 2 candidates, and most conservative in this race, is current mayor (since 2022), VALERIE AMEZCUA. This recommendation comes from my research, and from a trusted conservative advisor and SA resident, who knows SA city politics and this candidate well. While AMEZCUA is a Democrat, she is a “reasonable” one, and is conservative on many issues, especially those involving schools and children (she served on SA School Board from 2014 to 2022) and appears to have the fortitude to stand up against those pushing the FAR-LEFT Liberals agenda. She is the first female mayor in the history of SA.
Ward 1: JULIE TRAN (R)
Comments: “ Our city is broken’ and needs new leadership.“ per Julie Tran. Small business owner and longtime resident says, “I know and love our city and understand its (Santa Ana’s) potential. Santa Ana has one of the highest sales taxes in Orange County. It’s not sustainable for the city to keep returning to the voters to ask for more money without making budgetary decisions to reduce spending. The City Council is also deciding to give themselves a significant raise! I will not support any raises for elected officials during my time on the City Council.”
Ward 3: JEFFREY KATZ (Declined to State)
Comments: Per Robyn of conservative www.RobynNorell.com. Better of 2
Ward 5: MARIO ALVARADO
Comments: MARIO ALVARADO is not a strong recommendation for Conservative ideals. While a Democrat, he appears to be the BETTER of the 2 DEM Candidates for this office. He currently is a SA planning commissioner, and saw first hand the need for change in this poorly run city. (SA CC put a CC PAY INCREASE on the ballot! Are they kidding?) ALVARADO’S main focus is public safety, to bring solutions to reduce crime, and help revitalize the city, and bring new leadership to the city, where he has been a life-long resident. He is a business owner and opposes SA Measure FF to give City Councilmember a whopping pay raise. I applaud him for coming to speak at a meeting of Conservative Patriots of OC last Thursday, where I am a member.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for incumbent Democrat, JOHNATHAN RYAN HERNANDEZ, who is endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC. The city is poorly run and change is needed on the City Council.

Recommendation:
1. LAWRENCE TALEBI (Libertarian)
Comments: Healthcare Administrator who is a Conservative, and who reportedly was very impressive at a recent VP Candidates Forum.
2. YAN KILLY (R)
Comments: A marketing engineer, KILLY is a naturalized American Citizen from Ukraine, coming here 43 yrs ago. He says, “I embody the American dream. . . . I believe in the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Freedom, and Liberty!”
NOTE: Do NOT VOTE for KELLY MCBRIDE (D) or ROBERT FRACKELTON, a not so conservative Republican.
WESTMINSTER CC
Recommendation:
Dist 2: HAUWIE TIEU (R)
Comments: Pronounced “Howie Two” for Dist 2.
Dist 3: K C WOLBERT (R)
Comments: “KC for Dist 3!” Business Owner/Contractor WOLBERT is a 20 yr resident, and currently the chairman of the City’s Planning Commission. He says, “It’s time for Conservative Values, Common Sense, and a lot of hard work!”. WOLBERT is also on the elected Republican Central Committee of the OC GOP.
YORBA LINDA CC
Recommendation:
1. JESS BATTAGLIA (R)
Comments: I give the highest recommendation of the 3 At-Large seats to Conservative JESS BATTAGLIA. He is a local businessman, homeowner and parent leader, and currently serving a Chairman of the YL’s Parks and Recreation Commission. He is endorsed by the Conservative Yorba Linda Republic Assembly, Conservative Placentia-YL School Bd Trustees, Leandra Blades, Todd Frazier, Shawn Youngblood, Educator: Dr. Alex Cherniss
2. TARA CAMPBELL (R)
Comments: My research has shown current Mayor Campbell is doing a good job and deserves to be returned of office. Endorsed by OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), Lincoln Club of OC, former YL Mayor, Gene Hernandez, and many others.
3. PEGGY HUANG (R)
Comments: May follow.
OC Schools-
community
college
Coast Comm College Dist,
Recommendation:
Trustee Area 2: NONE (Information Only)
PHU NGUYEN-Please DO NOT VOTE for PHU NGUYEN. My research show him to be “Ultra-Liberal”, endorsed by Democrat Party of OC, local teachers Union (Coast Fed of Educators), and a whole slew of liberal “D” elected officials, including ultra-liberal, Katrina Foley . He currently one of the liberal members on the FOUNTAIN VALLEY SCHOOL BOARD.
JOE DOVINH is also a DEM, and currently serves on Garden Grove City Council, elected in 2022, and married to former Garden Grove City Councilmember, Dina NGUYEN. (If I lived in Dist 2, I’d probably vote DOVINH, to block PHU NGUYEN)
The other candidates is LINDA R. ZAMORA “Declined-to-State” party. No Ballot Statement & unable to find ANY info on her.
No OC College
Recommendation:
Trustee Area 2: JACK DANIEL FENNELL (R)
Comments: Jack Fennell is a Construction Project Manager, and decided to run for this office bc he saw there was no Republican represented, only liberal Democrat, Lopez. He states he is a Conservative Republican. He is young, only 22.
NOTE: Please don’t vote for DEM Liberal incumbent opponent, Ed Lopez, who formerly worked for Dem Pres Clinton.
Trustee Area 5: STEVE SLAWSON
Comments: Republican SLAWSON is a Businessman and parent, and his candidate statement talks a lot about, “Empower [ing] parents as partners in their child’s education” and “I’ll be a strong advocate for parents and students”. I LIKE THAT!. He is endorsed by OC GOP (Republican Party of OC),
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for opponent, Democrat, Mark Lopez. He is currently on the liberal school board of Anaheim Elementary School Board.
Trustee Area 7: RYAN BENT (R)
Comments: Ryan Bent is one seat where we DON’T need new blood. He is TERRIFIC, and a solid Conservative in every area. He is endorsed by OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), and YL Taxpayers Association. Tell all those in Area 7 to VOTE BENT!
Rcho Santiago College
Recommendation:
Area 3: CECILIA "CECI" IGLESIAS (R)
Comments: Known to be a solid Conservative and the only R in the race.
Area 5:MAYRA RUIZ (R)
Comments: This is not a strong recommendation, but Republican Ruiz is the better of the 2.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for Democrat Incumbent, DAVID CROCKETT, who is endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC
Area 7:NONE
Comments: Both candidates are Democrats and don’t have any info to determine if one is better than another.
SO OC College
Recommendations:
Area 1:KATHERINE DAIGLE (R)

Comments: Endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC)
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for ROCKY CIFONE, who is endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC
Area 6: MICHAEL FRANKLIN (Declined to State)
Comments: This is not a strong recommendation, but is perhaps the better of the 2. FRANKLIN is a college teacher, whose goal, as trustee is “to advocate for Student and Faculty Rights, accountability, and transparency”.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for Incumbent, RYAN DACK, who is endorsed by the Democrat Party of OC
Area 7: CARL J. DAVID (R)
Comments: Republican Conservative CARL DAVID is a Retired Lieutenant Colonel US Army, and will use his 30 yrs of leadership to lead this College District. David has a Master degree in Education Administration. Contrary to his opponent, Timothy Jemal, DAVID is NOT beholding to any teacher’s unions. His goals are for a safe, fiscally responsible, quality learning environment. He is endorsed by: Republican Party of Orange County, and the following Conservatives: Laurie Davies-CA 74th Assembly District, Kelly Jennings-Mayor Laguna Niguel, Laguna Niguel City Councilmembers, Ray Gennawey, Gene Johns, and Stephanie Winstead, Mayor Carol Gamble of Rancho Santa Margarita, and RSM CC member, Anne Figueroa, Laguna Hills CC member, Erika Pezold, Judy Bullockus, Conservative Trustee Capo Schools, Former LN Mayors, Elaine Gennawey, John Mark Jennings and Fred Minagar.
Carl David and wife, Amy attend St Timothy’s Catholic Church in Laguna Niguel.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for the “Declined to State” party candidate, incumbent TIMOTHY JAMAL. He is endorsed by 2 Education UNIONS in district, ie, SOOC Community College District Faculty Association, and CA School Employees Association (CSEA), and many far-leftist DEMOCRATS like OC Supervisor Katrina Foley, and a whole slew of other liberal elected officials.
OC Schools-
elementary
& hs
Anaheim Elementary School
Recommendations:
Area 1: JACKIE FILBECK (“Declined-to-State” party)
Comment: Not a strong recommendation. Better of 2.
Area 3: JULIE DIEP (D)
Comment: Not a strong recommendation. Both are Democrats. Better of 2.
Anaheim Union HS
Recommendation:
Area 3: KATHERINE H. SMITH (“Declined to State” party)
Comments: Previously long time Republican (recently DTS) and incumbent board member that has done a good job, like conceiving and founding highly acclaimed Oxford Academy.
Area 4: BRIAN O'NEAL (AI)
Comments: Incumbent AI (American Independent-good platform) party, BRIAN O'NEAL is being challenged by HENRY CHAROEN, an unknown Republican, who did not even file a Ballot Statement.
Area 5(short term): RON HOSHI (R)
Comments: Better of the 2 running. HOSHI is the appointed incumbent, who has had a long career in Education Administration. Retiring in 2017. Opponent, STEVE BLOUNT (D) who my research indicate is INCAPABLE of serving, due to health, and is endorsed by the DEMOCRAT PARTY of OC.
Buena Park School, Trustee Area 3
Recommendation: NONE (Just information!)
NOTE: Incumbent “Declined-to-State” party candidate, THARWA AHMAD, is on ballot with registered Republican. MICHAEL JENSEN. My research has come up w/little definitive information on either candidate. AHMAD originally was appointed in 2017, after former Trustee resigned due to arrest for being in possession of child porn. Other than JENSEN being an “R”, I can’t find any info on him, as he didn’t complete a ballot statement.
Capistrano Unified Schools
Comments: The FOLLOWING CANDIDATES are 4 “OUTSTANDING” CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN candidates that ALL NEED to be ELECTED. All support PUTTING STUDENTS FIRST and recognizing PARENTS, as the ULTIMATE AUTHORITY (not the government!) OVER THEIR CHILDREN. All believe in BACK-TO-BASICS education, without any indoctrination of liberal, progressive, far-left agendas. All 4 are endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC) and the 5 Conservative members of the OC Bd of ED, and OC Superintendent of Education, Dr Stefen Bean. I have heard ALL of them speak, and I can testify, they ALL 4 are intelligent, well-educated, articulate, and very impressive individuals, who will serve well as CAPO School Trustees.
Recommendations:
Area 1:JENNIFER ADNAMS (R)
AREA 1 cover Dana Point, Capo Beach, So SJC and western strip of San Clemente.
Comments: JENNIFER ADNAMS has been an educator for 30 yr (her hubs teaches in CUSD, too, for almost 30 yrs). Of course, she wants a quality, safe education for every student. But, she is also concerned about the “POLITICAL AGENDAS” in schools. Her priorities are for increased transparency between parents, teachers, and the school board, to ensure money goes directly to classrooms (not wasteful bureaucracy), and to bring common-sense discipline policies to classrooms.
Adnams is endorsed by: Two current Conservative CAPO trustee, Lisa Davis and Judy Bullockus, the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), OC Superintendent of Ed, Dr. Stefen Bean, the ENTIRE OC Bd of Education, ie, Mari Barke, Dr. Lisa Sparks, Jorge Valdes, Tim Shaw and Dr Ken Williams, and many other Conservatives.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for liberal Democrat incumbent, AMY HANACEK, who is endorsed by 2 LIBERAL Unions, the CUEA teachers’ union (Capistrano Unified Education Assoc) and the employees’ union, CSEA (CA School Employee Assoc) to do their bidding, and have given her Union Campaign money to solidify that bond. (Just for the record, teachers aren’t the problems, the powerful unions and union leaders are.)
Area 2: LISA ZOLLINGER (R)
AREA 2 covers Coto de Caza, Dove Canyon, Ladera Ranch, Rancho Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano and Wagon Wheel
Comments: Conservative teacher, LISA ZOLLINGER began her teaching career 25 years ago. She & hubs have 5 kids: 2 are CAPO graduates, 3 are current CAPO students. So, she knows this CAPO Dist well. Her goals are: “to give every student a high-quality education, take political agendas out of the classroom, empower parents to partner with their children's teachers, ensure all graduates are ready for college or workforce, provide a safe, secure learning environment, restore recently-eliminated 6th grade accelerated math, reverse 6 yrs of falling student enrollment, promote complete accountability w/ tax dollars.”
Endorsing Lisa: Republican Party of OC (OC GOP), CUSD Trustees, Judy Bullockus & Lisa Davis, OC Superintendent of Ed, Dr. Stefen Bean, and ENTIRE OC Board of Ed, ie, Mari Barke, Dr. Lisa Sparks, Jorge Valdes, Tim Shaw, Dr Ken Williams, CA Assemblywoman, Laurie Davies, and many other Conservative officeholders.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for LIBERAL opponent, incumbent MICHAEL PARHAM, who is endorsed by 2 LIBERAL Unions, the CUEA teachers’ union (Capistrano Unified Education Assoc) and the employees’ union, CSEA (CA School Employee Assoc) to do their bidding, and have given her Union Campaign money to solidify that bond. (Just for the record, teachers aren’t the problems, the powerful unions and union leaders are.) PARHAM is registered “Declined to State” party.
Area 3: LISA DAVIS (R)
AREA 3 is in SAN CLEMENTE
Comments: Incumbent former teacher, LISA DAVIS, is a PARENT’S CANDIDATE, and a SOLID CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN. DAVIS needs to be returned to the CAPO School Board and has done a great job. While, of course, she supports Safe Schools, maintaining high graduation rates, and wants to equip students to thrive after HS. She is SOLIDLY DIFFERENT than LIBERAL opponent, SHERINE SMITH.
LISA DAVIS stands behind “EMPOWERING PARENTS” to be PARTNERS in their Child’s Education. This is not a GIVEN on this School Board (and many like it across America) that believe “THEY” (the schools) KNOW BEST in how to raise, teach, and how and what YOUR CHILD should THINK”, leaving unsuspecting, trusting Parents, “in the dark”. DAVIS believes schools should get BACK-TO-BASICS in education and wants to REMOVE POLITICAL AGENDAS that have become so pervasive in the classroom.
Endorsed by the Republican Party of OC (OC GOP), CUSD Trustee Judy Bullockus, OC Superintendent of Ed, Dr. Stefen Bean, the ENTIRE OC Bd of Education, ie, Mari Barke, Dr. Lisa Sparks, Jorge Valdes, Tim Shaw and Dr Ken Williams, and many other Conservative officeholders.
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for SHERINE SMITH, who is endorsed by 2 LIBERAL Unions, the CUEA teachers’ union (Capistrano Unified Education Assoc) and the employees’ union, CSEA (CA School Employee Assoc) to do their bidding and has been received Union Campaign money to solidify that bond. (Just for the record, teachers aren’t the problems, the powerful unions and union leaders are.) SMITH is a registered Democrat and also endorsed by DEMOCRAT PARTY of OC.
Area 5: SONIA TERWISKE (R)
AREA 5 covers mainly Aliso Viejo, but also a bit of Laguna Niguel.
Comments: SONIA TERWISKE is the “Parents Choice” Candidate for Area 5. She is a sharp, intelligent and articulate individual, a businesswoman and parent of 2. Her priorities are: “Implement stronger academic standards, strengthen Special Needs support in the classroom, ensure PARENTS are involved in decisions affecting their children, provide teachers the best classroom resources and technology, strengthen campus safety for students and teachers, and promote financial transparency in district’s budget”. BUT, MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHE BELIEVES PARENTS, NOT THE GOVERNMENT, HAVE THE ULTIMATE AUTHORITY OVER OUR KIDS. She is endorsed by Republican Party of OC (OC GOP), Conservative Mayor Mike Munzing, and City Councilmember Max Duncan, CUSD Trustees Lisa Davis and Judy Bullockus, OC Superintendent of Education, Dr. Stefen Bean, and the ENTIRE OC Board of Education, ie, Mari Barke, Dr. Lisa Sparks, Jorge Valdes, Tim Shaw and Dr Ken Williams, and many other Conservative officeholders.
https://www.soniaterwiske.com/
NOTE: Please DO NOT VOTE for Democrat Incumbent, KRISTA CASTELLANOS, who is endorsed by 2 LIBERAL Unions, the teachers’ union CUEA (Capistrano Unified Education Assoc) and the employees’ union, CSEA (CA School Employee Assoc) to do their bidding and has received Union Campaign money to solidify that bond. (Just for the record, teachers aren’t the problems, the powerful unions and union leaders are.) CASTELLANOS is a registered Democrat and endorsed by DEMOCRAT PARTY of OC.
Centralia School, Trustee Area 3
Recommendation: THOMAS BARRAZA (G)
Comments: This race pits Democrat registered, ANGELA HERNANDEZ, who has been involved in PTA, and mentions in her ballot statement about discrimination bc she is a female, against Green Party Candidate, THOMAS BARRAZA. BARRAZA states he serves on several local education committees but doesn’t mention which ones. He states his priorities include: “Family-Centered Support”. “With parents’ rights in mind, I will ensure that our schools support the whole family, promoting an inclusive approach to education”. Hmm, sounds good, so far! He continues, “Transparency and accountability are essential”. He will “will advocate for clear communication. . . . from teachers, parents, and students to build a more effective educational system”. With this from BARRAZA, I am giving a “nod” toward BARRAZA, though not a strong one, since minimal information. I like “Parental Rights” School board candidates.

“Protecting Parental Rights: I will advocate for policies that respect parents' roles in their children’s education.”
Please DO NOT VOTE for Incumbent Democrat and Democrat-backed, LEAH ERSOYLU.
Area 3: PHILIP STEMLER
Comments: STEMLER is a Newport Beach native, a husband, a father, and in his day-job is a Deputy District Attorney. Some of his priorities are: Empowering Families: (says, “parental involvement is vital for student success . . .must end policies driving a wedge between parents and students”.) Transparency: (“says, schools must be transparent in all areas, especially related to spending, academic achievement, and student health”). Education, Not Indoctrination: (says, “students should be taught how to think, not what to think. . . schools’ curriculum must reflect our commitment to academic excellence, not any political agenda”). STEMLER is endorsed by the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), and Conservative Newport Beach Mayor Will O'Neill, and Conservative Newport Beach City Council Members, Joe Stapleto , Brad Avery, Noah Blom, and many more.
NOTE: Please do not vote for Incumbent and Democratic-backed candidate, Carol Crane. This district needs change.
Area 6: AMY PETERS
Comments: This is an office where, I believe, the OC GOP got it WRONG, endorsing incumbent, Krista Weigand, without consideration of her actions on the Board, simply because she is an incumbent and a “R”.
I, and many NM CONSERVATIVES, thought Weigand was their candidate 4 years ago. BUT she has been a HUGE disappointment! Weigand has been virtually a “lock-step” vote with the majority liberal board. She has been a “go along to get along” member, NOT the expected LEADER for CHANGE & IMPROVEMENT! Accordingly, this time, I’m recommending AMY PETERS, who stepped up because she felt the district needed ANOTHER SHOT at CHANGE and protecting our kids from inappropriate material. AMY IS THE FIGHTER WE NEED!
Per AMY PETERS, a businesswoman and educator: “Our District is in dire need of strong leadership and new direction - focused on academic excellence and students’ needs not declining rankings due to special interests. I am committed to Academic Excellence. Though the District boasts a 94.7% graduation rate, only 36.8% of 10th graders are reading at/above grade level. 66.95% of 11th graders are failing math standards. I will work to improve academic outcomes; removing CONTROVERSIAL programming and materials in our schools.”
Amy opposes WOKISM and SOCIALISM being taught in our schools. Says, “Right now there are 28 students in NM Schools being transitioned behind their parents’ backs”. She knows this district well, having gone all through NM schools herself, along with her 3 children. She has served in the schools in virtually every capacity as a parent and partner.
NOTE: Please DO NOT SUPPORT KRISTA WEIGAND or the 3rd candidate in this race, Democrat, CHRIS KRETZU.

Area 2: Lloyd Boucher-Reyes (R)
Comments: Is a zealous defender of parents’ rights, protecting school children, strongly believing in rights of parents to choose.
Area 3: DANA SUAREZ (D)
NOTE: CHANGE as of 10-18 - Tamiko Anderson (R), who I originally recommended has had to drop out of the race. I’m now recommending Democrat DANA SUAREZ, who is the better of the 2 remaining candidates.
Please DO NOT VOTE for Democrat Incumbent, ALFONSO ALVAREZ who is far more liberal than SUAREZ.

CA PROP
(PROP SUMMARY:
NO ON ALL
EXCEPT 34 & 36)
PROP 2: MASSIVE BOND to“BORROW”$10 BILLION (yep, that’s BILLION!)-REPAIR of CA SCHOOLS
Recommendation: BIG FAT NO
COMMENTS: CA already owes big banks and billionaire investors more than $78 billion, in previously approved Bond Debt. Prop. 2 adds another whopping $10 billion ($18 billion when repaid w/ interest IN 35 YEARS)—for school and community college districts. This is on top of the approximately 40% of the total state budget guaranteed to go to PUBLIC EDUCATION from previously passed Prop 98. Under the funding formula used in Prop. 2, school districts MUST provide a “local match” of funds to receive money from the bonds. So, in order for our local School Districts to get any funds, they MUST also pass LOCAL SCHOOL BONDS, which are paid for by adding new charges to your PROPERTY TAX BILLS.
CA wastes lots of $$$ on unproductive programs, like the High-Speed Rail boondoggle, and choosing to pay for ILLEGAL immigrant healthcare & other needs, in being a “Sanctuary State”, etc, Demand changes there, and pay for school repairs from our GENERAL pool of taxes, instead of borrowing. Our kids and grands will be paying already approved BONDS for decades. Raising REVENUE, via “BONDS” is THE most expensive way because of added interest. Do not be fooled by this “borrow now and pay back later” scheme. CA needs to “live within their means”, just like you and me and NOT BORROW.
CA is one of the highest taxed states in the nation. Sacramento politicians OVERSPEND, and punish us with tax hikes on our cars, gasoline, and income. Like similar PROP just 4 yrs ago that voters rejected, REJECT Prop 2!
“NO” on PROP 2 is supported by the HOWARD JARVIS TAXPAYERS ASSOC, former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH, and REFORM CALIFORNIA
PROP 3: UNNECESSARY MARRIAGE PROP - GOES TOO FAR!
Recommendation: NO
COMMENTS: This in an unnecessary Prop. In 2015, the US Supreme Court already ruled, allowing Gays to Marry. However, Proposition 3 adds these words to CA’s Constitution, the “right to marry is a fundamental right”, opening the door to child marriages, incest, and polygamy. VOTE “NO” on PROP 3.
“NO” on PROP 3 is supported by CALIFORNIA FAMILY COUNCIL and former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH
PROP 4:$10 BILLION IN MORE CA DEBT-For UNSPECIFIED CLIMATE PROJECTS
Recommendation: NO
This is the $10 billion “climate bond” that state politicians have long planned. California already has too much bond debt, over $78 BILLION outstanding as of January 1. Then $6.38 billion was added with Proposition 1 in March. Proposition 4 would add another $10 billion in bond debt to pay for climate “programs.” It’s reckless to use borrowed money, an estimated $18 billion with interest, to pay for “programs,” including salaries for all the groups that receive the money. The governor has already declared a budget emergency because the state spends more than it takes in. Spending even more “on the credit card” is a bad idea. VOTE NO ON PROPOSITION 4.
“NO” on PROP 4 is supported by the HOWARD JARVIS TAXPAYERS ASSOC, former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH, and REFORM CALIFORNIA
PROP 5: GUTS TAX PROTECTIONS of PROP 13.MAKES EASIER to RAISE TAXES-LOWERS VOTE THRESHOLD for PASSAGE from 662/3% to 55%
NOTE: DEM Attorney General Bonta SHOULD BE ASHAMED! (If you read the TITLE of this Prop, you would NEVER KNOW WHAT IT REALLY DOES! See comment below:)
Recommendation: BIGGEST, FATTEST “NO” EVER!
Comments: In actuality, it chips away and further tries to GUT the Property Tax Protection of PROP 13, that was passed overwhelmingly in ‘78. This PROP 5 would LOWER the VOTE THRESHOLD for Local Bonds from 2/3 of votes to only 55%. This makes it MUCH EASIER to RAISE YOUR TAXES. Sacramento wants more tax dollars to WASTE. Tell everyone you know to PROTECT the PROPERTY PROTECTIONS of PROP 13, and VOTE NO on PROP 5.
“NO” on PROP 5 is supported by the HOWARD JARVIS TAXPAYERS ASSOC, former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH, and REFORM CALIFORNIA
PROP 6: ELIMINATES SERVITUDE for THOSE INCARCERATED
Recommendation: NO, NO, NO!
Comments: What it REALLY means = “REMOVES REQUIREMENT” that CRIMINALS in PRISON HAVE TO WORK! . PROP 6 would EVEN ALLOW INMATES to “Unionize” and DEMAND PAY HIKES from Taxpayers. BIG FAT “NO”.
In 2 Thessalonians 3:10, it says, “He who does not work, shall not eat!” Whether you are a believer or not, this is just common sense. Work is good! Prisoners should not be coddled!
“NO” on PROP 6 is supported by the HOWARD JARVIS TAXPAYERS ASSOC, former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH, and REFORM CALIFORNIA
PROP 32 RAISES MINIMUM WAGE
Recommendation: NO
Comments: PROP 32 would raise the minimum wage to $18/hr. At a time when Californians are suffering under high inflation and previous minimum wage hikes have already spiked prices, and destroyed entry-level jobs, Prop 32 would codify a massive wage hike through a voter initiative, and SPIKE PRICES EVEN HIGHER. NO on PROP 32.
“NO” on PROP 32 is supported by the HOWARD JARVIS TAXPAYERS ASSOC, former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH, and REFORM CALIFORNIA
PROP 33 RENT CONTROLS
Recommendation: NO
Comments: Proposition 33 is a rent control measure that would lead to a reduction in the supply of rental housing. It repeals a sensible 1995 law, the Costa-Hawkins Rental Housing Act, which put limits on rent control laws to ensure that housing providers could make a fair return on their investment and stay in business. Repealing Costa-Hawkins would mean cities could enact radical rent control, even on single-family homes and condos, and prevent property owners from resetting the rent to the market rate after a tenant voluntarily moves out. Proposition 33 would lead to a sharp reduction in new apartment construction as lenders evaluate financial risk due to potential rent control laws. That will worsen the housing shortage in California. Voters have already rejected this proposal twice before, in 2018 and 2020. Say NO a 3rd time. VOTE NO ON PROPOSITION 33.
“NO” on PROP 33 is supported by the HOWARD JARVIS TAXPAYERS ASSOC, former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH, and REFORM CALIFORNIA
PROP 34 PREVENTS USING TAXPAYER MONEY IN POLITICS
(Deceptive title: “RESTRICTS SPENDING BY HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS MEETING SPECIFIC CRITERIA” HUH?)
Comments: Prop 34 was put on the ballot because a so-called non-profit (The AIDS Healthcare Foundation) has received hundreds of millions in taxpayer funds for their programs through government contracts and has used those funds to engage in ballot measure campaigns to advance liberal policies. Prop 34 would end that scheme.
Recommendation: YES
“YES” on PROP 34 is supported by the HOWARD JARVIS TAXPAYERS ASSOC, former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH, and REFORM CALIFORNIA
PROP 35 TAX INCREASE for Health care
Recommendation: NO
REFORM CA organization does a good job in explaining PROP 35. Like so many PROPS, it is deceptively written to confuse the voter. Here is their explanation: What is it in Plain English Title: It’s a Health Care Tax Increase
Politicians’ Deceptive Title: Provides Permanent Funding for Medi-Cal Health Care Services. Initiative Statute.
Description: Prop 35 permanently imposes a tax on health care – specifically managed care organizations (MCOs) that offer health insurance coverage. For this reason we recommend a NO vote. However, there are a number of worthy provisions in this initiative to hold state politicians accountable for spending health care funds on health care and for ensuring that reimbursement rates to struggling health care providers are made more sustainable. We hope to see those good provisions in a future initiative presented to voters. VOTE NO!
“NO” on PROP 35 is supported REFORM CALIFORNA and former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH
>> Watch Short Video Explaining Prop 35
PROP 36 RESTORES SOME of WHAT TERRIBLE PROP 47 LOST
Recommendation: YES, YES, A BIG FAT YES!
The ballot title is very deceptive and reads: “Allows Felony Charges and Increases Sentences for Certain Drug and Theft Crimes”. We have LIARS in Sacramento, but that isn’t anything new.
COMMENTS In 2014, then Attorney General, KAMALA HARRIS, and the Secretary of State, LIED to voters with a “FALSE” Title on Prop 47. KAMALA HARRIS actually wrote the Ballot Title: “The SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD and SCHOOLS ACT” claiming PROP 47 would “ENHANCE PUBLIC SAFETY”. In actuality, PROP 47 did the reverse, causing rampant crime. Voters BOUGHT the title’s LIE and horrible PROP 47 passed. Prop 47 coddled criminals, eliminating a wide range of crimes, like stealing anything under $950, which resulted in a wave of “smash and grab” thefts in stores. Now, California faces a massive crime wave w/ both property and violent crime spiking due of horrible Prop 47.
Prop 36 will REVERSE some of the negatives of Prop 47 that benefitted criminals and tied the hands of police and prosecutors. Prop 36 gives back to police & prosecutors the tools needed to protect us.
“YES” on PROP 36 is supported by the HOWARD JARVIS TAXPAYERS ASSOC, former CA SENATOR JOHN MOORLACH, and REFORM CALIFORNIA

Raising REVENUE, via BONDS is “THE MOST EXPENSIVE” way to obtain funds, paying back TWICE what is borrowed. Ridiculous! CA School need to “live within their means” ( just like you and me!), and NOT BORROW. District think they can FOOL VOTERS in this “borrow now and pay back later” scheme. Don’t fall for it!
No on FULLERTON JT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DIST Measure L BOND MEASURE, and ALL BOND MEASURES. (Only exception, in my opinion, is National Defense in time of war)

Comments: This is another BOND (that is, the school district will get a loan). Loan will be paid back with your INCREASED PROPERTY TAXES -FOR DECADES ! ! ! CITY
MEASURES
R – BUENDA PARK-SALES TAX INCREASE
Recommendation: NO
Comments: MEAS R is a Sales Tax Increase of 1% for Buena Park to change the City’s Sales Tax from 7.75% to 8.75%. Purpose : For general revenue purposes, until ended by voters.
I am recommending a NO, along with the OC GOP (Republican Party of OC). I have never seen a Sales Tax EVER being REDUCED, once increased. With inflation and increased cost of living already a problem, this will make things worse.
S – CYPRESS-INCREASES the NUMBER of HOUSING UNITS at LOS ALAMITOS RACE TRACK PROPERTY
Recommendation: NEUTRAL
Comments: I’m unaware of how this measure affected the locals, or their preference. Please study and decide on your own.
T – DANA POINT-INCREASE RESTRICTION on SHORT TERM RENTALS
Recommendation: NO
Comments: MEAS T would remove the current cap 115 of short-term rental, and replace it with a MORE RESTRICTIVE cap of 1% of total units in the coastal area and .5% in all other areas. This would be adjusted every 3 yrs. I originally was NEUTRAL on this, but have done more research and am recommending a NO.
U – HUNTINGTON BEACH-CHARTER AMENDMT MEAS
Recommendation: YES
Comments: Would change City Charter to state that City Planning and Zoning is a local, municipal affair, and would require VOTER APPROVAL of City initiated general plan amendments or zoning changes, when such items present significant and unavoidable negative impacts to the environment. Supported by 3 Conservative HBCC members, ie, Mayor Gracey Van Der Mark, Mayor Pro Tem Pat Burns, and City Councilmember, Casey McKeon.
V – LA HABRA-SALES TAX INCREASE
Recommendation: NO
Comments: MEAS V is a Sales Tax Increase of 1% for LA HABRA to INCREASE the City’s Sales Tax from 7.75% to 8.75%. Purpose : For general revenue purposes, until “ended by voters”. Supported by the LH Police Union and a former Dem Mayor.
Recommending a “NO” (along with me) is: OC GOP (Republican Party of OC) and Republican LH City Councilman, Tim Shaw. I have never seen a Sales Tax EVER being REDUCED, once increased. With inflation and increased cost of living already a problem, this will make things worse.
W – LA PALMA - TERM LIMITS
Recommendation: YES
Comments: Meas W limits city council members to three consecutive terms (from two consecutive terms) in office with a mandatory four year out of office period, which will expire if council elections return to at-large elections.
X – LOS ALAMITOS-CITY GOVERNMT AMENDMTS
Recommendation: BIG NO
Comments: This is one big complicated “MESS” of a measure. What they did was take 8 different charter amendments, and LUMP THEM TOGETHER. Some are good, and some are not. Voters should have an opportunity to vote on them all separately, not altogether.
Y – MISSION VIEJO- SHORT TERM RENTAL TAX INCREASE
Recommendation: NO
Comments: Measure Y is a 50% tax increase from 8% to 12% on hotel/motel/short-term rental guests. Whoa! A BIG FAT NO! It would make Mission Viejo one of the most expensive places to do business. Let’s welcome visitors to MV, and not blast them with higher taxes. We had a similar measure on the ballot years ago. MV voters turned it down then, and we (I live here!) should turn it down again. I wonder WHICH City Council members supported this Tax Increase? I see none would allow their names on the ballot supporting this measure, as 2 did the last time. I’m going to check, and remember!
Z – CITY OF ORANGE-SALES TAX INCREASE
Recommendation: NO
Comments: MEAS Z is a City Sales Tax Increase of .5%, from 7.75% to 8.25%. To lure one into voting for it, the measure says it is going to be used for “parks” and “roads”, but it can and will be used for other items, as it goes into the general fund, to pay for salary hikes and over-generous pension payout to city workers. With inflation and increased cost of living already a problem, this will make things worse. Plus, especially for large tickets items, like a car purchase, one could just go to a nearby city and pay less, so it could actually REDUCE the city’s revenue. NO on Meas Z TAX HIKE!
AA -CITY OF ORANGE - FIREWORKS
Recommendation: YES
Comments: Orange’s MEAS AA would overturn the current ban on the SALE OF FIREWORKS, and allow them to be sold in the city. This is a city preference thing, but I say, why not? This is a good way for the city to generate some extra taxes. Of course the city would still have to regulate and oversee.
BB - SAN CLEMENTE- SALES TAX INCREASE for BEACH IMPROVEMENT and PROTECTION
Recommendation: NO
Comments: MEAS BB would INCREASE San Clemente’s sales tax from 7.75% to 8.25%, “UNTIL ENDED BY VOTERS”, to pay for sand on the beach and overall Beach Protection. Says funds will be earmarked strictly for that.
If I lived in SC, I would vote NO as I know that once a TAX INCREASE is approved, it will not be reduced. With inflation and increased cost of living already a problem, this will make things worse. But, it is YOUR city, you may feel differently.
CC - SANTA ANA RENT CONTROL MEASURE
Recommendation: NO
Comments: NO to Rent Controls. A terrible idea! Will lock in the city’s failed rent control policies. Rent control doesn’t work. Who also OPPOSES? OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), OC Register Newspaper
DD - SANTA ANA - MEASURE TO ALLOW NON-CITIZENS TO VOTE
Recommendation: BIG FAT NO
EE - SANTA ANA, Proposed Amendments of City Charter
Recommendation: YES
Comments: “Amends City Charter to delete references to obsolete job titles and obsolete bonding requirements, specify that all department heads are at-will employees, address definitions of funds and levies for compliance with state law, authorize limited purchasing authority for the City Clerk and City Attorney and require the City Council to adopt an ordinance to enforce the Ethics Code”. Seems like basic City updates.
FF - SANTA ANA-PAY RAISE for CITY COUNCILMEMBERS
Recommendation: BIG NO
Comments: MEAS FF would significantly raise the pay for City Councilmembers. Indexing council salaries to $74,275 annually is a drastic increase from the current $12,000, far exceeding salaries in comparable cities like Anaheim, where council members earn about $18,000 annually. The city is poorly run, in bad shape financially. The City Council DOES NOT DESERVE A RAISE, nor can the city afford it.
GG - SEAL BEACH-SALES TAX INCREASE
Recommendation: NO
Comments: MEAS GG is a Seal Beach City Sales Tax Increase of .5% which would INCREASE the City’s Sales Tax from 7.75% to 8.25%. Purpose : For general revenue increase purposes, until “ended by voters”.
Recommending a “NO” (along with me) is: OC GOP (Republican Party of OC). I have never seen a Sales Tax EVER being REDUCED, once increased. With inflation and increased cost of living already a problem, this will make things worse.
HH - STANTON - MAYORIAL TERM LIMITS
Recommendation: YES
Comments: Meas H establishing a two-full-term lifetime limit on service as Mayor, starting with the November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election. Term Limits are generally a good idea.
II - TUSTIN-TERM LIMITS
Recommendation: YES
Comments: Revises the limitation on consecutive terms of office for the Mayor and Members of the City Council.
Who SUPPORTS? OC GOP (Republican Party of OC), Conservative Republican Mayor Auston Lumbard, and me!
Who OPPOSES? Democrat Tustin City Councilmembers, Rebecca “Beckie” Gomez and Letitia Clark.
JJ - YORBA LINDA, LOCAL CONTROL
Recommendation: YES
Comments: By CA law, Yorba Linda is MANDATED to designate areas for housing. With this measure, city voters to decide WHERE these units will be placed. A “NO” vote will make the City susceptible to potential legal ramifications and have outside sources tell the city where the new housing is to be located. This measure would NOT make the city the developers. But it would merely zone an area for housing. Endorsed by the YL Taxpayers Assoc.
KK -YORBA LINDA -BRYANT RANCH CTR, HIGH DENSITY & MIXED USE
Recommendation: NO
Comments: Would allow up to 273 high-density, up to four-story high residential units to be built in Bryant Ranch Shopping Center. Locals oppose due to loss of commercial space needed in Bryant Ranch community, overload of utilities and city services, fire hazard, traffic congestion and other detrimental impact on environment and quality of life of the Measure.
